My Bloody Valentine

After 22 years, My Bloody Valentine, fronted by mastermind Kevin Shields, released its third studio album, mbv, in February. After having released Isn’t Anything and Loveless, two milestones of the shoegaze genre, the band decided to go on hiatus at the beginning of the 90s. However, the band remained on people’s minds as a solid reference to the shoegaze genre and as influences to numerous bands. Now they’re back, performing at this year’s Berlin Festival thereby returning to the city in which they recorded their debut EP, This Is Your Bloody Valentine, in 1985.
