While residing in London, Neneh Cherry made a massive impact on the metropolis‘ subculture with bands like Rip, Rig + Panic and introduced the hip hop genre to the British isles. In the mid-90s, her hit single, »7 Seconds« gained her worldwide success. 17 years after her last solo album, Neneh Cherry is back with a new full-length album in 2014, marking yet another turn towards the electro genre after having been dabbling in post-punk, trip hop, hip hop and pop. To record the album, »Blank Project«, the Swedish singer went to the studio with Four Tet and Rocketnumber9, also inviting Robyn to contribute.
