Pet Shop Boys
With Pet Shop Boys, Berlin Festival introduces the masters of pop glamour to Tempelhof Airport. Since the early 80s, the duo, comprised of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, have shaped the sound of pop substantially. Regardless of whether they turn to tender harmonies or to exuberant pop extravaganza, Tennant’s voice and Lowe’s synth sounds paint a coherent picture of pop that is unmistakably Pet Shop Boys and nothing else. The duo already celebrated the world premiere of their eleventh studio album, Elysium, in Berlin. In September, Pet Shop Boys will be back in the German capital city to present their album live in front of a broader audience.
