With Rustie’s »Glass Swords«, the »Wonky« genre saw one of its favourite representatives release a debut album. Even though, the so-called „human touch“ made way for machine gun grooves of Southern hip hop and uber-artificial crunk music in particular. His approach seems like an echo of a generation, which had been growing up between digital gluttony and exposed culture archives, and therefore doesn’t know the difference between commercial pop music and sophisticated underground. Boundaries are about to be broken when you do not know of their existence in the first place!
