Route Description (in German)

Public Transport/Shuttle Bus

The Berlin Festival is only 40 minutes from the centre of Berlin. Reaching it could not be more straightforward. Check the regional train and S-Bahn timetables for the quickest route to bring you directly to the Berlin Festival shuttlebus, which will pick you up and drop you at beautiful Paaren im Glien 20 minutes later. The buses depart regularly so you won’t have to wait long to reach the festival.

We recommend taking the Regional Express to Spandau Hauptbahnhof (20 minutes from Alexanderplatz, 10 minutes from Zoologischer Garten), or alternatively the S-Bahn, which takes considerably longer.

RB 14: Schönefeld airport – Spandau via Alexanderplatz & Zoo
Hourly between 5:55 and 22:55 (the last trains to Spandau depart from Friedrichstrasse at 0:21 and 2:23). The RB 14 departs hourly from Spandau between 5:15 and 21:19 or 23:56 (only until Friedrichstr. U-Bahnhof). You can download the detailed timetable here.

RE 2: Alexanderplatz to Spandau Hauptbahnhof
Hourly between 5:46 and 23:46. The RE 2 departs Spandau hourly between 4:48 and 23:48.

If using the S-Bahn take the S9/S75, which travel around the clock at the weekend. During the daytime every 20 minutes, evenings/night time every 30 minutes.

Most U-Bahn lines connect to Alexanderplatz and Zoologischer Garten. All U-Bahn lines apart from the U4 travel around the clock over the weekend from Friday until Saturday. From Sunday to Monday the last train on the U7 line Spandau – Rudow departs at 0:12, the first train leaves again at around 4 am. The N7 night bus travels from 0:38 until ca. 4 am. Further information at: www.bvg.de. You can download a diagram of the train network as a PDF file here.

Shuttle Service – Timetable
The shuttle buses travel continually between the points of the bus stop at Spandau station and the festival site at Paaren im Glien.

If you want to arrive on Friday evening or plan to hang around until Monday, then you take the 671 bus from Spandau station to Paaren im Glien. It travels a longer route than our Express Shuttle Bus, but is a nice trip through the surrounding woody countryside.

The 638 bus travels from Potsdam directly to Spandau station.
The bus travel times can be found at www.hvg.de.

Biking! Yes, last year some people actually cycled to the Berlin Festival. Take your bikes to Spandau and cycle the rest – check your maps for the nicest route to us. Lock the bikes at your own risk!
