Line Up 2011

Without having released their debut, Suede caused quite a stir amongst early 90s indie kids. With such singles as “Metal Mickey”, the band around androgynous frontman Brett Anderson brought a great deal of glam attitude into the Britpop arena. After guitarist Bernard Butler was replaced by Richard Oakes, Suede released Coming Up in 1996, which won them praise on an international scale. Singles like “Trash”, “Beautiful Ones” and “Filmstar” made it into top 10s all over the globe. Head Music, A New Morning followed as well as a singles compilation shortly before their break-up in 2003. In 2010, Suede finally reunited to play a series of concerts. Berlin Festival is looking forward to a performance with greatest hits galore.
